Privacy Policy

Fintrack (“Fintrack”, “we”, “us”) is a family budgeting app for tracking personal and shared income, expenses, allowances, and loans between relatives. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can control it.

• Account information — your email address and a display name, used to sign in and to identify you to the family members you share a group with.
• Financial records — the transactions, account balances, allowances, and loans you or your family members enter, used to maintain your ledger.
• Contacts — names of relatives you add to track loans with, whether or not they use Fintrack themselves.
• SMS messages (Android, optional) — if you grant the SMS permission, Fintrack reads incoming bank/transaction SMS on your device to suggest transactions. This parsing happens entirely on your device: message content is never uploaded or transmitted anywhere. Only the transaction details you review and confirm are saved to your ledger. You can revoke this permission at any time in Android settings — the app remains fully usable without it, by entering transactions manually.

We do not use any analytics or advertising SDKs.

We use the information above to:

• Provide the ledger, budgeting, allowance, and loan-tracking features of the app.
• Share appropriate data with the family group(s) you choose to join.
• Maintain the security and reliability of the service.

We do not sell your personal information. Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, strictly to operate the service.

Within a family group, only the data you explicitly share (group-owned accounts and their transactions) is visible to other members of that group. Your personal accounts stay private to you — this is enforced by database access rules, not just the app’s interface.

Your data is stored in a managed Postgres database and encrypted in transit. Your login session is stored on your device using its secure, encrypted storage. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (see Section 9).

Fintrack is a household finance tool and is not directed at, or knowingly used to collect information from, children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
